The maps illustrate the changes in the layout of a café over a period of 10 years. Generally, while the café was renovated over time, the most significant developments only occurred during the last 5 years.
Initially, the coffee shop was designed with eight tables in the center of the building and two terraces near the entrance. A cash desk was situated next to one of the terraces, while facilities such as the food preparation room and restrooms were placed in the back of the café. Five years later, while this layout was mostly untouched, two oval tables were added to the terraces.
Nowadays, the ground level of the café has been narrowed for the expansion of the two terraces. Furthermore, the old round tables have been replaced with four rectangular ones in order to accommodate larger groups of customers. Another new addition is the counter, which has been established between the cashier’s desk and the restrooms. Finally, each terrace now features 2 oval tables, providing more seats for people who prefer the outside view.
