Lập dàn ý
Opinion: Government certainly should have control over/limit violence in films + TV, and parents should be also held accountable for monitoring what their children watch in order to reduce crime.
Body 1: To limit violent crimes, to certain extent censorship is necessary
– Idea: Governments are the only entities that have the tools to censor what the public sees or reads in the media.
– Explanation (for the tools that governments can use):
- Films can be categorized according to age (PG, MA, A, and R rated)
- Graphic images may be brutally cut/blurred on news/films.
– Result: This prevents juveniles from imitating the acts + deter others from committing crimes.
Body 2: To decrease violent crimes in society, in addition to the modification and categorization of media content, parents need to take responsibility for checking what their children watch as it is impossible for governments to control everything.
– Explanation (for the role of parents): Parents are often close to children → Parents would detect any odd behaviors of their children, which may trigger ideas of wrongdoings/offenses.
- Some parents may even use child-lock programmes when they are not at home to prevent kids from watching films with unsuitable content.
